The First Shenyang International Colloquium on Microfluidics (SICOM I), sponsored by the Shenyang Municipal Government and National Natural Science Foundations of China and organized by Northeastern University, will be held in Shenyang, China from 21st to 24th October, 2007. The sponsors and organizers of SICOM I intend to offer the international scientific community a forum for intensive exchange of new knowledge and experiences in microfluidic research and development, for the promotion of multidisciplinary interaction of related fields, for the advancement of new application fields of microfluidic systems as well as for the exploitation of new strategies in commercialization. The Conference will consist of 12 plenary lectures, and oral and poster presentations. Extended abstracts of all presented papers will be formally published in a proceedings book of SICOM I. Authors are invited to contribute original abstracts on the following topics before the deadline, 30th, June, 2007. Abstracts are to be submitted electronically via this web-site.
